Posada La Barca

Posada La Barca is situated in a semi-private beach in San Agustinillo, Oaxaca. It is one of Oaxaca's most natural and beautiful Pacific Ocean areas that remains untouched by development. Bird-watching is one of the pass-times that visitors enjoy besides tour boats, snorkeling and the beach.

Snorkeling is one of the safest things to do since the ocean is spotted with rock formations that break the surf. All of the rooms face the ocean so, all rooms have a memorable view that you will enjoy. We have 10 rooms, 6 room have kitchens and the other 4 have a shared cooking facility in the patio area. All rooms have a private bathroom. By day you get the ocean breeze and by night you will feel the cool mountain air since we are located at the foothills of the Sierra Madre Sur.

Tour boats are available to take visitors fishing, tours to see the dolphins, turtles and sometimes whales that migrate through the area. The Turtle Center is located in Mazunte which offers an interesting view of sea life in aquariums. We have three seasonal rates end-of-year holiday season (high), Winter season (medium) and Summer season (low). Within the seasonal rates we have daily, weekly and monthly rates.
